Monoton

“MONOTON” bought his first synthesizer at the age of 15, which was a Casio VZ and within a very short period of time learnt how to make the keyboard his slave. Since that time his collection of instruments and equipment has grown constantly. It was because of this that “MONOTON” constantly discovered new ways to bring his emotion out in music without becoming part of the mainstream. MONOTON’s music is however is more of a snap-shot of his inner being, without thinking that much about the construct of sounds, tracks arise which are nevertheless profound, thanks mainly to the emotion that is brought out in his music. Those who listen carefully and bring it´s influence to bear will realize that there´s a lot to discover.

Second Thought

Second Thought is an electronic music project by Ross Baker begun in 1999. After a series of demos in the early 00s, two albums were released on small independent labels – 2004′s wet and windy ambient Purlieu, and its harsher, more rhythmic follow up, 2007′s Vacuum Road Songs. Second Thought took to the stage to promote the albums, but shortly after entered a self-imposed musical exile, reappearing in 2010 to release several experiments on netlabels. 2011 begins with the third album, Safernoc, released by Ross’ long-time heroes and influences The Future Sound of London, and attempts to blend neo-classical sounds with dub techno. Second Thought’s music varies not only from release to release but from song to song, but always present is a mix of synths, samples and field recordings.
