In 2009 Marc was in an accident which resulted in heavy surgery and being incapacitated for a long time, it was during the recovery from his accident where he first discovered his love of making music, it first when he was in hospital, playing around with samplers and mobile applications for creating music.

Soon enough, what started off as something to pass the time, creating music turned into a passion, and after playing some of his songs to friends and co-workers he was told that he shouldn’t stop creating music once he recovers.

Since then Marc has invested in better music production software and enjoys incorporating a wide range of sounds into his music, however for the most part his music could be classed as Electro and since putting his music online he has received a lot of positive feedback and currently ranks quite high on the reverbnation electronica/dance charts in Belgium.

As he mostly uses mobile applications to make music, you could say that he has a studio in his back pocket, which goes to show how Marc never stands still. Always progressing, always learning, always improving. Self Betterment is a way of life for Marc Bestgen.

More recently Marc has been performing live to raise money for charity, along with also releasing entire albums and donating 100% of the proceeds to worthy charities.
